The Bermuda Companies Act contains a consolidated version of the Companies Act 1981, incorporating all amendments to date.
“8 Commencement and dates of payment of annual corporate regulatory fee
(1) This Act shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1 January 2024.
(2) Payment of the annual corporate regulatory fee for the year 2024 with respect to each entity required under this Act to pay the fee shall be made by—
(a) 31 March 2024; or
(b) no later than such other date as the Registrar of Companies shall determine by notice published in the Gazette, which notice shall be subject to the negative resolution procedure.
9 Validation of payments
Any payment, made before the enactment of this section, of the annual corporate regulatory fee by an entity referred to in this Act, which annual corporate regulatory fee is provided in this Act to be payable in January, is hereby deemed to be a valid annual corporate regulatory fee payment for the year 2024 for the purposes of this Act.”
